| Bio: | Name: Dr. James McCann Age: 27 Breed: Human Rank: Appearance: Tall, thin and handsome – he stands just shy of 6ft, a mop of unruly blondish-brown hair (that tends to stick up or fall where it pleases) makes him seem taller. He is brown eyed and fair skinned. Has a tendency to dress either in a casual suit or just shirt and trousers – when not working he wears jeans and t shirt/jumper. Also wears glasses. Personality: On first meeting, James can seem arrogant and condescending – having very little patience with people who don’t know what they are doing or don’t come up with the same answer as he does (or at the same time). He is possibly a genius but it has never been confirmed, although he is a bit of a know-it-all. When a person gets to know the ‘real’ James, they see that the arrogance and unapproachable attitude is merely a protective one built up from bad experiences. They also see that he may be cocky and sarcastic but is actually a rather pleasant caring man who has been hurt to many times in the past. Power: None Skills: Possible genius and gifted medical doctor. Excellent co-ordination and dexterity. Skilled in all areas of Science not just medical science. Despite the fact he doesn’t get on well with adults or that fact he is not always a pleasant personality, children seem to like him. Speaks/understands several languages but likes to pretend he only speaks and understands English. History: Both James’ parents (John & Sara) were top Physicians – his father a heart surgeon, his mother a neurosurgeon – so it was evitable that they would want and expect their children to follow in their footsteps. Thus, James and his elder sister Jeannie were pushed by their parents to only go into medical science and any other occupation was considered inferior. When James’s high school teacher told his parents she believed he was a genius and urged them to place him into a specialist school, they bluntly told the teacher she was mistaken. James was always treated as more or a hindrance to his parents whereas Jeannie they doted upon. When he was 13 his mother was diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas and only two months later she died. John took to drinking and soon became an alcoholic and told James that he was a ‘mistake’ and was never wanted by his parents – during his more violent drunken spells he beat James. After passing his studies and fleeing to university, James easily became an accomplished doctor – choosing to work in emergency departments – although he developed a rather unlikeble personality to keep people from getting close. | ||||||||||
